The devastation wrought by the earthquake in Haiti on Tuesday, 12 January 2010, ignited a deep sense of compassion in us all, and sparked an immediate, global outpouring of humanitarian assistance for those caught by this unexpected natural disaster. Thanks to the contributions of staff around the globe, the United Nations ERP Project has a name: Umoja (pronounced oo-MO-jah), meaning "unity" in Swahili.

Get involved

The success of Umoja will depend to a large extent on the level and quality of engagement of the UN community. As part of our efforts to leverage the insight and knowledge of staff around the world, we will be launching the Umoja Cafe, an interactive virtual community for the exchange of ideas and information.
